Manaslu, the eighth-highest mountain in the world rises at 8, 163m/26,781ft and is popularly known as the “Mountain of the Spirit”. The Manaslu climb is perfect for adventure lovers looking for a challenging expedition in the heart of the Himalayas. Further, the Manaslu climbing expedition involves steep ridges, icy slopes, and changeable weather conditions that require advanced technical skills and high-altitude endurance.
The Manaslu climbing season begins from April to May and September to November, providing constant weather conditions for a successful ascent. The expedition starts with a picturesque Manaslu Base Camp trek, allowing climbers to acclimate, use fixed ropes, and plan carefully. Additionally, as climbers make their way through the rugged terrain, they are rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.
Upon arrival in the Kathmandu Airport (TIA), you will be welcomed and greeted by our representative and then transfer to the hotel. After check in, you can either take rest; hang around in the city as it all depends upon your interests.

On the second day of our Manaslu expedition, we’ll focus on final preparations and arrangements.
We will start with a briefing session where our team of guides and staff will provide all the necessary trip details. Afterward, we’ll secure all trekking and climbing permits.
Next, we’ll do some last-minute shopping for essential gear. If time allows, we might visit a few tourist spots in the city. Finally, we’ll return to our hotel for a good night’s rest, fully prepared for the adventure ahead.

We start early for Sotikhola, enjoying views of the Nepalese countryside and mountain scenery. The drive is smooth up to Dhading Bensi, after which it becomes a bit rough until Arughat. We continue driving to reach Sotikhola. Overnight in Soti Khola.

We trek through Sal forests, climb onto a ridge above Budhi Gandaki, and pass through Khursane. The trail takes us through rocky terrain and tropical waterfalls. We eventually reach the Gurung village of Labubesi, cross the river, and arrive at Machha Khola. Overnight in Machha Khola.

The trail includes several ascends and descends, crossing Tharo Khola and reaching Khorlabesi. We encounter a hot spring in Tatopani, climb over a ridge, cross the Budhi Gandaki, and trek towards the village of Jagat. Overnight in Jagat.

We cross the Budhi Gandaki and climb to Rana. Following the river upstream, we pass through Prok village with a viewpoint for Siringi Himal. The trail continues through dense forest and crosses the river multiple times before reaching Namrung. Overnight in Namrung.

We climb steadily, passing through forests and villages like Lihi and Sho. We enjoy extraordinary views of Mt. Manaslu from Lho village and explore the Ribung Gompa. After passing through Shyala village, we reach Samagaon. Overnight in Samagaon.

A rest day to acclimatize. We explore the rich Sherpa culture, visit Pungyen Gompa for views of the glacier, or take a short hike to Birendra Taal lake. Overnight in Samagaon.

We follow a steep trail north of Manaslu Glacier, passing through forests and gaining altitude. After reaching the base camp and savoring the views, we return to Samagaon. Overnight in Samagaon.

25 days climbing towards Mt. Manaslu (Tented camp). The climbing leader will determine the summit climbing duration depending on the weather conditions and the requirement of acclimatization days at various elevations. During acclimatization days, climbers will hike much time up to high camps and return at lower altitudes to sleep. After over three weeks of climbing and a successful ascension of the Mt. Manaslu, the entire climbing team will retrace back to the base camp and rest the night here itself. Overnight in base camp.

We retrace our steps back to Samagaon, enjoying views of the glacier and lake. The descent is faster and we reach Samagaon in around 3 hours. Overnight in Samagaon.

We descend to Budhi Gandaki, follow the trail to a bridge, and pass through mani walls as the valley widens. After crossing a wooden bridge, we climb to Samdo. Overnight in Samdo.

Even today, we continue our walk down the edge, cross the wooden bridge over Budi Gandaki and begin walking upward. Upon crossing two streams and witnessing the Larkya Glacier we go around the valley of the Salka Khola and climb up again to the stone guest house (4450 m), which is not a lodge but a kind of shelter called Dharmshala, also known as Larke Phedi. The short walk today also leaves plenty of time for acclimatization and relaxing in the afternoon. Overnight in Dharmashala.

After a climb, we reach a valley and cross moraines of Larkya Glacier. The ascent becomes steeper before reaching the pass with views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and Annapurna II. We then descend to Bimthang. Overnight in Bimthang.

We descend further, crossing pastures and a bridge over Dudh Khola. Walking through rhododendron forest and a narrow valley, we reach the village of Gho, and finally Tilije. Overnight in Tilije.

We cross a small ridge and pass through beautiful villages, cross the Dudh Khola, and climb up through a chorten-shaped arch. After crossing Marshyangdi Khola, we reach the village of Tal. Overnight in Tal.

We drive from Tal to Kathmandu, enjoying views of hill and mountain landscapes. After reaching Kathmandu, we will have time for last-minute shopping and a farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.
