Muktinath is accessible with a short flight of half an hour from the lake city Pokhara to Jomsom which leads you to the starting point of the trek. At Muktinath trekkers have an opportunity to explore the holy temple and the 108 waterspouts. A rare view of earth, fire, and water come together and the eternal flame burns night and day, giving the place an aura of mystery at Muktinath. Gosaikunda is also a famous pilgrimage site of Nepal. It lies 60 km north of Kathmandu. This holy place is located in the periphery of Langtang National Park. Many Hindus gather in Gosaikunda Lake during the full moon in August despite the bad weather. According to the legend, the Hindu god, Lord Shiva, stayed overnight at Gosainkunda while going to Mt. Kailash.
